Misprint2 rang me last night and we arranged to meet to walk through the Botanic Gardens today. We took the cable car up to the gardens and walked down along the sculpture path to the rose gardens. We looked in the Begonia House, where we admired the waterlilies and agreed that the colours of the begonias clashed.

Then we took a break in the cafe. Misprint2 had a linguistics assignment on New Zealand idioms, so I answered some questions for her. That was very interesting.

All in all, a good afternoon together!
